Active Racing Career 1995 - 2014
After the catastrophic 1995 season Alfa Romeo was going to withdraw from the British Touring Car Championship, This would mean that if Eric could not continue his contract with Alfa Romeo, he´d be left unemployed for the 1996 season. Regardless of his bad performance in the 1994 season, he was put on the driver roster for Alfa Corse, and he raced the 1996 International Touring Car Championship in the infamous Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, finishing third in the overall championship, The following seasons from 1997 to 2000 Eric raced across Europe in various different series's due to Alfa Romeo´s unclear plans with their touring car program. In 2001 he made a breakthrough by winning the European Super touring championship with Alfa Romeo Team Nordauto. This opened his doors to FIA GT.
Eric ran in FIA GT for the 2001 to 2009 seasons with BMS Scuderia Italia and AF Corse. He finished generally with very successful results, yet he was unable to clench the driver´s championship in those years. He switched continents and teams, but he remained in a Ferrari backed team. His new home was Risi Competizione in the USA.
Eric Started the 2010 season in Risi´s Ferrari F430 GTE. This was Eric´s first go at proper endurance racing, and he managed to finish third in the championship with his team. Eric raced for Risi Competizione till 2014, but his last season with Risi season was cut short due to a heavy incident in the 2014 Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. Eric was hospitalized due to injuries he sustained in the major incident, and that marked the end of his professional racing career.
Near history 2014 - 2019
After recovering from the injuries sustained in 2014, Eric was looking to get back into the world of motorsports in 2015, but not as a driver. His contact in the International Motorsport Association (IMSA) had tipped him off, that state of San Andreas was completely lacking a sanctioning body for motorsports. With the help of IMSA, Eric went to San Andreas and started the first ever nationwide motor racing sanctioning body in the state. San Andreas Central Motorsport Association was born.
