The beginning of a new decade, 1991, an important year in the history books, known most as the year during which the Soviet Union finally dissolved, bringing an end to the cold war. A boy was born to a low-income family in Los Santos, the same boy who would eventually terrorize the underworld of Los Santos with his collection of loyalists and strong-arms, orchestrating a cold war of his own within the world of crime.
Travis Harvard grew up in one of the most unforgiving areas in the poverty ridden areas of Los Santos, the infamous Liverpool Road, a place known for raising some of the most fearsome crooks America has seen to date. Although Travis is a very feared mobster with a rap sheet longer than the Silk Road, he wasn't born as one. In fact, Travis is a very empathetic person, he has always been one. Empathy has always been an important trait that Travis has possessed, he'd rather pick the pen over the sword in conflicts, but in most cases in the hood, the choice is made for you.
For Travis, the word "parents" never really meant anything. His parents were extremely distant, with his mother being swamped working nine to five to support her drug habit and his father being absent throughout his childhood, Travis barely had any people he felt a real bond with during his upbringing. The only person Travis really connected with in his family was his older sister Jeanne. Although Travis was an exceptionally clever young man, he dropped out of school due to his passive nature. He couldn't find the motivation to finish his studies for the life of him, which left him feeling depressed and even more passive as there was nothing to keep him busy, which led to him spending most of his time hanging out at the basketball courts near Liverpool Road.

Hanging out at the courts is where Travis was introduced to the bad crowd that, ironically, his mother warned him about. He became well acquainted with two delinquents named Antwon and Jabari. Both junior members of the reckless "Liverpool Savages" street gang. Antwon and Jabari were what really led Travis down the path of a criminal, introducing Travis to the world of stealing and selling drugs to make money. Unlike most of his friends, Travis never got high on his own supply, having seen what drugs had done to his family, he knew better. Besides, to Travis there was nothing more ecstatic than owning a fat wallet. At a young age, Travis owned more money than most adults he knew, he could dress in expensive street wear, he could layer himself in jewelry, he could do anything he wanted, because he knew he had his friends behind his back. The sense of camaraderie in the gang culture and the money completely blinded Travis, which eventually married him to the streets.

Although Travis was a very empathetic guy, his lifestyle made him do a lot of malicious things to other people in the name of helping his brothers, including the murders of two police officers as an effort to save two of his friends from the gang. As the old saying goes, what goes around comes around. During the shootout with the police, a bullet had hit the window of the car Travis was taking cover behind, which led to shards of glass permanently damaging his left eye. The eye had to be surgically removed, as Travis couldn't afford treating it. Not just that, Travis also almost lost his ability to walk after getting hit by a car, twice. He had been hit the first time, and instantly after recovery, he had been hit again, which left him with a permanent limp and nerve damage in his legs. Travis bears the scars of a warrior, having a marking left from a gunshot wound on his right arm, which also inflicted some serious harm to his body. Travis' lifestyle had taken a toll on his body, he developed a heavy benzodiazepine addiction due to the painkillers that were prescribed to him to help him get through the consecutive car accidents. He had gone against all of his rules in life, which should've been his wake up call. He should've gotten out while he could, but the money and the brainwashing kept him loyal to his brothers, until fate made his choice for him.

If we don't end war, war will end us.
One day, Clevon Hamilton, Travis' best friend and a brother he never had called him, speaking in a worried and hushed tone, telling him to meet him now. The friends met and Clevon told Travis that he was being blackmailed by a fearsome Russian mobster. When Travis heard the story of the hitman that was brought in from Moscow, he knew they were in real danger. Something Travis knew about the underworld was that the mafia was something he should steer clear of, if they could make government officials disappear, they could surely make a lowly gangbanger like himself disappear. Clevon told Travis that he was permitted to spare Travis and Karleshia Lowe, Travis' girlfriend. They had no choice but to do what the "Gonchaya" named killer told them to do.

The "Gonchaya" had forced the duo to stage a coup d'état in the gang they were in, which led to the famous gangland killing of the Idlewood shotcaller Xavier "Rambo" Perkins. Clevon had made the first move, killing the king, subsequently, Travis and his pack of loyalists had slayed a known enforcer of the gang named Tyrone Wiggins. Tyrone's corpse was discovered in El Corona with over 50 rounds of various calibers in his body and it took a month for the authorities to identify the body. The autopsy revealed that Tyrone was under the influence of marijuana and xanax during the killing.

The internal war continued, until the sudden disappearance of Gonchaya. With Gonchaya disappearing, so did the rest of their old gang. Travis and the only people he could call family were left completely alone, tormented by the things they had done to their own brothers. They had no choice but to shove the thoughts into the backs of their heads, and to keep surviving.
After a few years of living in hiding with his fiancée and his best friend, Travis and Clevon were running out of the hard earned money they had gathered during their years in the gang. They had to do something to keep up their hedonistic lifestyle. Clevon's penthouse had already been taken by the IRS and Travis knew he was next. Clevon put the word out on the streets that he's back in business and an old acquaintance of his contacted him, a notorious career criminal by the name of Markese "Eyes" Wright, the younger brother of the infamous drug lord of Jefferson, Daniel Wright. Markese had become the heir to Daniel's drug empire and he needed experienced and reliable enforcers for his outfit, so he brought in Clevon who had become a legend for putting Crimstone out of commission by killing Rambo. Clevon put in a good word for Travis and persuaded Markese to bring him in as well, and so Clevon and Travis started anew on the streets, this time known as the Eastside Exterminators, the grim reapers of Jefferson. They did several jobs for Markese and oversaw numerous operations in his organization, until a wave of indictments hit the Wright Drug Trafficking Organization. Markese was nailed with a RICO charge and several others went missing or in prison. Clevon and Travis too were wanted men, the police was onto Clevon for several murders that he had committed on Markese's behalf and Travis was wanted for unlicensed firearms and conspiracy. They had to flee and go into hiding, again.

The takedown of the DTO prompted the trio to flee to the countryside to start anew, and so they packed whatever money they had left and went. Around this time, Karleshia had become pregnant with Travis' son, which meant they really needed to turn over a new leaf. Travis would be damned if he had his son born in prison, so he used what was left of his money to provide the essentials for his family to start a new life in Red County. He burnt whatever was left of his old life, keeping only the money to provide housing and basic necessities for his dear family.
Story still WIP.
